Dr. Eric Lorens
Veterinarian
Dr. Eric Lorens became the owner of the Pet Clinic of Rocky Mount in 2003. He graduated from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech in 1992 and started his veterinary career in Reston, Virginia, where he grew up. He worked for 11 years in small animal hospitals, veterinary referral centers, and emergency clinics in the Northern Virginia area.
Dr. Lorens and his wife Kathy, also a veterinarian, missed Southwest Virginia from their time in Blacksburg and were excited when an opportunity became available to become the new owners of the Pet Clinic of Rocky Mount. After many successful years in Rocky Mount, Dr. Lorens had the opportunity to expand his business to the Martinsville/Henry County area when the old Henry County Animal Hospital building went up for auction. Dr. Lorens purchased the building, refurbished it, and opened the Pet Clinic of Martinsville in 2016. These days, Dr. Lorens splits his time between both clinics, seeing patients and performing surgeries at both locations.
